Memorial Service: Former Felton Fire Captain Larry Shean
On January 25th, 2024 former Felton Fire Captain Larry Shean succumbed to a heart attack. Capt Shean was a volunteer with this department from the early 80’s until the mid 90’s when he and his wife June (who was also a volunteer firefighter and 911 dispatcher for Santa Cruz County) had to relocate to the Bay Area in order for their daughter to attend a special needs school. Larry’s daytime job was as a Deputy Sheriff and later as Detective for Santa Cruz County. Larry’s death was unexpected as he had no prior health issues or family history of heart problems. He is survived by his wife and two kids. He had just recently become a proud grandfather.
Memorial Service will be on Friday, March 1st at 1:30 pm. It is being held at Lima & Kampagana Mortuary, 1315 Hollenbeck Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94087.
